If only...

If I were to construct a perfect living situation for this time of my life, it would be within a secure building with underground parking, midst a varied neighborhood accessible to my likely destinations.  Within that building, there would be an affordable unit just for me–a group of rooms that suited my preferences of view, space, lifestyle, and comfort.  While in that space, I would be independent and, if wished, solitary.  But humans require others; when interaction is desired,  there would be an entire neighborhood of others up and down several corridors, public rooms for gatherings, and many services/activities to bring us together, according to our interests or wishes or talents.   But, wait . . . that is a description of Realife Cooperative of West St. Paul!  

My ideal already has been invented.
